Bronze plaques may be purchased to be placed on the Memorial Board located at the Chincoteague Waterman’s Memorial at Mariner’s Point. Wording is limited to name and dates. As a minimum, those honored must have lost their life at sea while serving in the U.S. Military or working as a Chincoteague Island waterman. The cost of each plaque is $250. The Town of Chincoteague Water System performed routine monitoring of contaminants in your drinking water during the 2019 calendar year. Test results indicate all these contaminants were below allowable levels and no violations were reported. The Town of Chincoteague has implemented a DMV Stop for unpaid personal property taxes. To have your DMV Stop removed the total amount due of your personal property taxes PLUS a $25 DMV charge and a $25 Town collection charge must be paid in full.
