TAYLOR STREET REBUILD

The Taylor Street Rebuild project is progressing but is currently behind schedule. In order to maintain affordability, the project is being undertaken by Public Works Crews and concessions have necessarily been made to allow time for our crew to accomplish their regular maintenance tasks and handle emergencies.
Currently the street drainage system has been completely redesigned, and all new piping and drainage structures have been installed. A completely new C900 water main which replaces the old ABS pipe along with all new individual services has been completed and is ready for connection to the Town system.
The remaining components to complete will all be performed by contractors including replacement of the existing sidewalks, milling re-grading and repaving of the existing roadbed. The sidewalk contractor will begin after Pony Penning, and it will take about 2 weeks to complete the new sidewalks. Due to the disruption to traffic flow, the actual road work will begin after Labor Day and should be completed before the end of September.
