The 2024 Kids Fishing Day with Harbormaster Merritt was a huge success.  It was a busy and beautiful day fishing off the pier at the Curtis Merritt Harbor.  There were 42 children in attendance who caught 47 flounder.  A representative from the VMRC along with the Town of Chincoteague EMS staff were in attendance as well.  Harbormaster Merritt gave a shoutout to the Charter Boat Captains who assisted in this successful event.  Harbormaster Merritt would like to thank all those in attendance and helped make this great event such a success.
