PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX BILL ERROR
TAX BILL ERROR
During the conversion of tax data received from Accomack County, some utility and boat trailers were inadvertently assigned the Town’s $27 Vehicle Tax. This is an error. Although tax bills were mailed to taxpayers prior to the discovery of this error, the correction has already been made in the office and taxpayers will not be charged this fee. If you received a bill with a vehicle license fee applied to your boat or utility trailer, you may pay the tax less the $27. If you have questions, please call the Town office at (757) 336-6519.

FINANCE DIRECTOR
own of Chincoteague is seeking an experienced Finance Director to manage and direct the Town’s finances. This important position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the Town and supervises other department employees. The Finance Director reports directly to the Town Manager. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field or equivalent work experience in government finance is required.
This full-time position includes a generous benefits package including VRS retirement, health insurance, life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave as well as multiple paid holidays.
